Wedding in the Central Netherlands | The Hague, Leusden, Utrecht & Barneveld A misty autumn day with soft, diffused light set the scene for this atmospheric wedding in the Central Netherlands. From the bride getting ready in The Hague to a vibrant celebration in Barneveld, it was a day filled with emotion, intimacy, and love. The morning began in The Hague, where the gentle autumn light created warm, romantic images during the bride’s preparations. The civil ceremony took place at Huis van Leusden, an intimate setting filled with pure, heartfelt moments. For the photo session, we headed to Landgoed Den Treek near Leusden. The mist drifting through the trees, rich autumn colors, and the hazy sunlight created an almost fairytale-like atmosphere — perfect for timeless, romantic wedding portraits. The church blessing was held at the impressive Sint Willibrorduskerk in Utrecht. The light streaming through the stained-glass windows and the rich neo-Gothic details gave the ceremony a painterly character. The day concluded with dinner and a celebration at the stately Kasteel De Schaffelaar in Barneveld. Warm and inviting inside, mystical and misty outside — the perfect ending to a loving day.
